With 30 plus years in the radio buisness, Don Kelly has broadcast through out the Pacific Northwest, including Montana, California, Washington, and Idaho. Through out his career, Don has done some interesting things, like swiming competion against Olympic Gold Medal winner Jim Nabor, to raise monely for the McDonald's House. Out of 7 contestents Don came in second place, we all know who won. Don said after the race, that he'ed never seen a human being Nabor that is take a stroke in the water, and actualy look like a canoe with a team of rowers, "the speed of the his forward movement, "will never be forgotton".
In the mid-70's Don used one of the his station vehicles to promote Firebird Raceway, a drag strip in Boise Idaho. He took the challenge on, to race against a big time drag racer giving Don a 14 second lead in the drag race against Shockley's Shock Wave, a jet Powered Dragster that was touring the Nation. This promotion was one of the kick off events, now better known as The Fox Hunt. Both Don, and the Shock Wave car went accrossed the finish line at the same time. Don's vehicle was traveling at 85 MPH, Shockley's Shockwave was moving at 270 mile per hour.
In the early 90's Don, was dubbed "Idaho Don", because of a 575 mile run he'ed made on a "jet ski". This trip started in the ocean at Astorya Oregon, the mouth of the mighty Columbia, and then went through all 11 river locks in total, on the Columbia, and Snake Rivers, to the furthest point you can go on a jet ski into the Hell's Canyon National Park, just past Lewiston, Idaho. Now The Don rolls on to new adventures on KOOL 94 FM

Liz Whitney started life amongst the roses in Portland Oregon, hearing the greatest hits of the 60’s and 70’s on KISN AM and KINK FM (which they are still playing, by the way). The trail led down the Oregon Coast and involved a crazy, wonderful, short time working on a shrimp boat out of Coos Bay. Really. And then to Tucson and Phoenix. No shrimp, lots of Rock and Roll.
And then an amazing adventure. A few years on the Big Island of Hawaii. White coral sand on the Kona side and the most amazing black lava sand on the Puna side. From 6AM until 6PM the only station on the island played nothing but Hawaiian music. Don Hoe and ukuleles. Then from 6PM till 6AM the most fantastic rock and roll. Procul Harum on a moonlit black sand beach. Just imagine.
After that there was nothing to do but head for Lewiston Idaho and the 60’s and 70’s hits with Don Kelly on KOOL 94FM and the Classic Rock of Mark Bone on KVAB 102.9FM. And in her spare time she raised three sons. (Fred McMurry never had it like this.)
So after all that there is simply nothing left to do but London, Rome.
